Lessons
I teach private lessons in guitar, introductory piano, music production/technology, and songwriting/composition. I currently teach out of my own studio in Brooklyn, though in the past I've been an in-house instructor at House of Jam in Hyannis, MA as well as Duvall Dance & Music in Scituate, MA.
My students range from ages 7-65, from total beginners to accomplished musicians. My goal is always to meet the students where they are—what music are they listening to? what do they want to be able to perform?—in order to develop a personalized curriculum emphasizing the fundamentals of musicianship in the context of what excites them as players and listeners.

A bit about me.
I am a composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist originally from Boston and now living in Bushwick. After getting my BA in Music Theory & Composition from Bowdoin College, I have been active as a songwriter and performer, releasing music under various guises and touring in the US.
Most recently, I have been releasing music under my name through Brooklyn-based label Better Company.
My musical background is varied—starting with learning classic rock songs on electric guitar before veering into Western Classical music, electronic music, barbershop, and even a bit of Sri Lankan drumming.
